‘Outsider Art and tradition’ – a contradiction in terms?  The conference aims to explore questions about how Out sider Art is received: Which art traditions are reflected  in the current Outsider Art debate? Can cultural traditions  influence art emerging from outside the mainstream art world  and art institutions? Is there a tradition of Outsider  Art and where would we find it? 

The 2023 annual conference and general assembly of the  European Outsider Art Association (EOA) is being hosted  by the open art museum, in St.Gallen/Switzerland.
